Vaccines save lives! Keeping your vaccinations up-to-date is important for your health, as well of the health of your family and community. Vaccines can protect people from serious illness and complications from vaccine-preventable diseases, such as measles, chicken pox, influenza, meningitis, HPV, and pertussis. Immunizing infants and children is one of the most important ways you can keep them healthy. Adolescents and adults also need to update their immunizations to maintain protection against certain illnesses.
Beaufort County Public Health Department provides routine immunizations for all age-groups by appointment. Our clinic follows the CDC and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) guidelines on immunizations. Public Health Nurses will evaluate a client's vaccine record to determine which vaccines are needed at each visit.
Costs
The costs for vaccinations vary depending upon insurance coverage and household income. Cash, check, and some insurance plans are accepted for payment of immunization fees. If you have questions or concerns about vaccines, costs, patient assistance programs, etc., please call for more information.
Children who qualify for the Vaccines for Children Program will receive vaccines at no cost.
