Healthy Beginnings

The Healthy Beginnings Program is for pregnant African American and Latino women and families living in Beaufort County. The program provides care coordination that begins during pregnancy and continues until the baby's 2nd birthday. The Healthy Beginnings Care Coordinator will:

  • Provide at least 6 home visits per year and a minimum monthly contact by phone or office visit
  • Link you with resources and support services
  • Provide referrals
  • Provide one-on-one education and support specific to your needs
  • Coordinate group educational sessions where you will have the chance to meet and talk with other program participants (partners and spouses are welcome and encouraged to participate)

We want to support a positive birth outcome and an enriched parenting experience for you and your family. For more information about Beaufort County's Healthy Beginnings program, please contact Ashley Singleton, Healthy Beginnings Coordinator, at 252-940-5099.
